Organizer guide

How to create a game

From idea to launch: step by step, you create a game in SECTOR, fill the scenario to match your mode and start a live session for players.

Six steps to launch

  1. 01

    Log into the organizer console

Open control.sector.tachora.app and log in with your account. You need the organizer role — if you don’t have it yet, apply first via “Become an organizer”.

  2. 02

Create a game and pick a mode

Games → Create game. Give it a title and a short description and pick one of the five modes — that’s exactly what decides what you fill in the editor next.

  3. 03

Fill the scenario in the editor

The editor differs per mode: Quest and Race are levels with tasks; Treasure Hunt adds inventory items and a final chest; Territory Control is control points with coordinates; Water Wars has no scenario. The per-mode details are below.

  4. 04

    Publish the game

Quest, Treasure Hunt and Race can be published once there are at least levels with tasks. Water Wars go live without a scenario. A published game is then available for sessions.

  5. 05

    Open a session and registration

Sessions → New session → pick a published game. Open registration and share the join code — players enter it to get into the game.

  6. 06

Start the game and run it from the Control room

Hit “Start” — the Control room opens: map, leaderboard, photo review and live control. When it ends, you get a results page and a CSV export.

What each mode needs

What you fill in the editor depends on the mode. Here’s what you prep for each of the five.

Quest

Levels in order, each with tasks: codes, text, numbers, QR, GPS points (arrive at a spot), photos with AI checks, quizzes and manual review.

Race

The same levels with tasks as a quest, but focused on speed — the ranking is by total time.

Treasure Hunt

Levels with tasks plus inventory items: a task hands out an item as a reward (map piece, key), and the final level is the chest.

Territory Control

Control points: coordinates from Google Maps, zone radius, points per minute and, optionally, a schedule for when points open.

Water Wars

No scenario needed — you only set the game title. Target, deadline and the hunt details are configured in the session.

You can only create games with the organizer role. Don't have it yet? Apply first via “Become an organizer” — we review it by hand.
